Filmmaker John Carpenter co-wrote The Joker: Year of the Villain No. 1, a 40-page one-off issue tying into the ongoing Year of the Villain storyline, DC announced. Anthony Burch, writer of the video games League of Legends and Borderlands 2, co-wrote, with Philip Tan and Marc Deering providing artwork. The overall concept and idea of the #yearofthevillain one off was unsettling, evil, diabolical and downright Joker. From the time he and the fake Robin decided to make the escape from Arkham asylum it was a roller coaster of questions that the young fellow had to answer or it would cost him his life. But with the joker it is never that simple and sometimes getting the answers that he wants will cost you more than what you are willing to lose long-term. The throwback to the classic robin joker exchange and overall fatality of the character was all in all awesome there’s nothing like giving a nod to the greats. So many covers so much story and so little time by the end of this book you will realize why he is one of DC’s most infamous character and why he’s the clown prince of crime. @bulletproofcomics
